    SPCo
Triart Photo Studios (Triart Pub Co Inc)
    Tuscan Productions (Red Bluff, Ca)
Were they the publishers for an unknown photographer (perhaps James W Pondelicek)?

SPCo is the Shaw Publishing Company of Boston. Run by Henry Shaw. There is some evidence that he sometimes published other photographers pictures for them. His work is stylistically similiar to Aurora Studios and occasionally approaches the quality of Albert Arthur Allen.

Irwin H Herbein, as far as I know.

Yes Herbein was the case I refered to, but after perusing info on the web---i believe that Herbein was not a photographer but a 'collector' and like many collectors he signed his name on the backs of his collection---all of the photos in question bear copyrights by Shaw which would seem to uphold my idea about Irwin H Herbein being not a photographer but a collector. I have not been able to find any mention of Irwin H Herbein being employed as a photographer or in a studio anywhere. If anyone has any definite info eitherway I would enjoy hearing from them.

Irwin H. Heirbein is never mentioned as a photographer.
