@ The Lone Wolf : Well, in a race to be the slowest responder, I win!!!

Aha, yes, I'm "creative." Or as I occasionally say... I'm a "romantic" poster. I came up with that after watching a video of some old friend's hippie wife fluttering around her kitchen tossing things in a pot on the stove. She had no idea what she was doing and described herself as a "romantic cook."

    @ historicalzg :
    Jane,

Sorry it took a while to respond.

Too bad about the issue with your computer being trashed, hope it didn't cause you more troubles than necessary, and that you are a bit more conscious about backups now (something like that happened to me, and now I back up regularly).

I haven't found any other information about Neva Lynn, unfortunately.

Your labor is greatly appreciated, but you definitely need to focus on what's good for you. Life is too short to be doing too much grunt work.

And... Never say you are disorganized. Just say you are creative.

    Regards,

    R.J.

@ The Lone Wolf : Hi Rj  It is a lot of work and would have gone more quickly if the movers hadn't trashed my computer in April. I had everything saved with a Firefox plugin that made copying comments and searching for things much easier than the way I have to do it now. Without the original hd config, the plugin saves are not readable. There is no way to automate the process unfortunately.

It's figuring out how IDs have changed over the past 7 years on Multiply and here that is the biggest problem for me. I have no head for all that and am just... disorganized in general. So I'm currently hung up on the dreaded ACJ NEA photos. I'm hoping someone will come along eventually to keep all the ACJ pics up to date so that I can go back to what I'm actually interested in here... Ziegfeld.

I'm glad to hear you found this site by searching for Wallace info. I'm hoping that the Radio magazine posts will bring in some of the early radio fans who certainly have much to contribute here. Same with the fashionistas.

Also glad that you didn't seem to have problems uploading pics into an album. Did you find it difficult or can you see any way I can explain the 'how-to' better?

Thanks for the 'possibly Neva Lynn?' update. And so the search continues...

    Best,
    jane

    @ historicalzg :
Thank you, Jane. That sounds like a lot of work. Are you doing it manually, or do you have any tools to help you automate the process?

I just found a picture for Neva Lynn in the site, and I don't think it's her. I'll see if I find some other pictures to confirm.

    Regards,

    R.J.

@ The Lone Wolf : So nice of you, RJ, thanks  My work is in moving everything from Multiply and alas and alack I am horribly slow with all that. There are still about 20,000 images in albums to be moved. And then comments! I'm easily sidetracked

It's the members here who did all of the real work of researching and posting on Multiply. And now here too. If I was a little brighter I could follow it all.

I agree, a great pose on #5! If you find anything with the "possibly Neva Lynn" please do tell.

    Thanks again,
    jane

    @ historicalzg :
Thank you very much for your help, Jane. I am not familiar with the history of this site, but it is outstanding, thank you for the hard work that you must have put into it!

I found it by doing a search for A.G. Wallace (I have a few photographs from him, and it's almost impossible to find any information online).

These pictures... yes, they are a mistery. Hopefully someone can cast some light into them.

I forgot to add: Number 5 reminds me a lot of the Columbia Pictures image for some reason. A great pose.

    Regards,

    R.J.

@ The Lone Wolf : Thanks for the nice reply, RJ. I looked through my folder of misc nudes that I keep for ref earlier but have nothing similar. There isn't yet much discussion on this new Piwigo site. It was easier to talk about things on Multiply. I hope someone will speak up even if to say they haven't seen them before.

I moved this album to the "New 2013" section last night so that it would be more visible. Hope that's ok with you.

    Best,
    jane
