ACJ Model? Mary Harriet Robinson Case_Chidnoff (Murdered 1937)_jane 28 September 2013

Anyone see this poor woman in the 1930s ACJ photos? Looks familiar to me but then... they all do.

Mary Harriet "Bobby" Robinson Case designed and sold jewelry and was a photographer's model in NYC. Murdered in January 1937. A 'negro' was arrested and eventually sent to the electric chair for the death of the 'pretty white woman married just a year before."

Fairly gruesome story, even for me, and the NY newspaper made the most of it. I don't want to get hung up on trying to figure out if they railroaded yet another 'Negro' for the murder of a white woman so have stopped reading about it. If there were nude photos taken, perhaps someone closer to her was not happy when they were discovered. But enough speculation. I'll post more of the story if she's found in any of the 1930s ACJ photos, perhaps in NEA? The photo posted here is by Chidnoff.
